Construction coordination & production management of 17 meter high wooden sculpture
In February 2017, the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championship started with a bang. Edy Reinalter, star of the 1948 Olympic Winter Games, experienced a big comeback at a height of 17 metres. Thanks to its size, the sculpture housed three platforms on its shoulder, chest and head. The dashing ski legend was certainly a memorable part of that year’s World Championship, and the question of where he would go next was much discussed long after the event.
‘Edy Reinalter played an important role at the World Championship in St. Moritz, and this figure pays homage to the Olympic champion.’
