For Chalet Bello in Davos, Aroma designed an extraordinary eye-catcher: a disco ski helmet in XL format with a diameter of 1.5 meters and a weight of 130 kilograms. The realization posed multiple challenges—not least because the oversized helmet had to fit through an entrance door only one meter wide.

The solution: a two-part construction made of plywood and styrofoam, coated with linen fabric and dispersion paint. Covered with 6,500 reflective PMMA tiles, the helmet was transformed into a functional disco ball—including a rotating motor and reinforced ceiling suspension.

Planning, engineering, and production were carried out entirely in-house at Aroma. Since January 2024, the helmet—complete with “Ciao Bello” ski goggles—has been hanging in Chalet Bello.
