#175 YEARS

To celebrate its 175th anniversary, the Sparhafen Cooperative hosted a two-day harbour festival in Zurich. The concept, staging, and implementation of the anniversary event were developed by Aroma. With great attention to detail and a fine sense for atmosphere, storytelling, and human connection, a truly harmonious experience was created.

A thank-you to the cooperative members

On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, the Werfthalle in Wollishofen became the setting for a warm and atmospheric celebration – a gesture of appreciation for the cooperative members who shape and support Sparhafen. The hall was completely transformed: with a stage, LED screen, furniture, styling, and a custom-built harbour bar. Concept, planning, and execution were all handled by Aroma – everything from a single source.

The anniversary weekend began with a boat trip on the steamship Stadt Zürich. In the Werfthalle, guests enjoyed a lively evening programme, charmingly and humorously hosted by the artist duo Lapsus. Stage and screen merged into a captivating storytelling format that sparked laughter and delight.

Sunday was dedicated to families: after another boat trip, guests gathered for brunch, laughter, singing, and amazement. The children’s trio Silberbüx inspired the youngest to sing along, and the duo Lapsus closed the festive weekend with a cheerful water ballet.

Cohesive anniversary communication

Aroma is not only responsible for the event staging but also accompanies Sparhafen throughout the entire anniversary year — from developing the core narrative and visual identity to implementing the cross-channel campaign and creating diverse content formats for various touchpoints. This also includes a new image brochure with an accompanying photo series, as well as the concept and realization of the anniversary events for the cooperative members — the highlight of the year.
